Maun, North-West District
Maun is located in the North West District and is one of Botswana's largest villages, with a population of just over 55,000 (2011 census) and widely known as the "Tourism Capital of Botswana". The village benefits greatly from a high level of tourism activity as it serves as the gateway to the world-renowned Okavango Delta and the Moremi Game Reserve. Maun is a rapidly developing village with a diverse range of residential properties, commercial and industrial business centres, an international airport, schools, shops, filling stations, religious centres and a diverse range of accommodation offerings and leisure facilities. With the Thamalakane River flowing through parts of the village, it gives a unique dynamic to the living experience as residences benefit from the beautiful natural flora that extends from the river.
